The main principle of the deep excavation support systems (shoring system) is to ensure the safety of all structures such as existing structures, roads, living areas and infrastructure facilities around the deep building pit to be constructed.
Today, as a result of the rapid increase in the population, the requirements have started to change especially in the buildings such as houses and workplaces in the city centers. Land costs are very high, making the land more efficient to use and consequently building under the ground has gained great importance. For this purpose, deep excavations have become compulsory.
During the construction of deep construction pits, the geological status of the soil taken from soil surveys and engineering parameters and the status of existing neighboring buildings and roads in the surrounding area and the location of the infrastructure facilities are designed together. In the shoring system models, prestressed anchors and ground nails are used in bored piles, mini piles, reinforced concrete walls, diaphragm walls and shotcrete systems.
